Coach Rodney Billups’ second University of Denver’s men’s basketball team will play nonconference games against Colorado (Nov. 14), Wyoming (Nov. 29), Air Force (Dec. 2), Northern Colorado (Dec. 13) and Colorado Mesa (Dec. 28) before the Pioneers’ 14-game Summit League slate commences Dec. 30 at South Dakota.
DU’s 28-game 2017-18 season was unveiled Thursday.
The Pioneers open Nov. 12 at Magness Arena against visiting UC-Irvine. Two days later, DU visits Boulder for Billups’ first game as head coach against his former team. Billups was a DU point guard before beginning his coaching career and spent six seasons with CU before returning to his alma mater as head coach last season.
