President Barack Obama meets with President-elect Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House on Nov. 10, 2016.

President Donald Trump and House and Senate Republicans continue their obsessive pounding away with hammer and chisel to obliterate any law, regulation, program or “deal” associated with the Obama administration.

Try as they might, there are two major accomplishments that can never be obliterated from the historical record: guiding the country out of a near economic depression, and taking out the sponsor of the 9/11 tragedy. No hammer and chisel will ever be big enough to wipe out those accomplishments.
