One of three men killed in a on Wednesday had been a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at the University of Colorado.

The United States Navy on Saturday identified Lt. Steven Combs as one of the men killed following the crash of a C-2A Greyhound en route to the USS Ronald Reagan on Wednesday.

Bill Hendrick, an alumni of Kappa Sigma confirmed that Combs had been a member of the fraternity and referred questions to Aaron Peele, who is a former president at the CU chapter of the fraternity.

Peele said in an email that Combs family had asked any press inquires to be referred to the Navy’s public affairs office, which did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment on Saturday.

CU spokesman Ryan Huff said in an email that Combs graduated in 2011 from the Leeds School of Business. According to Combs’ Facebook page, he majored in business finance.
