Your reader in Highlands Ranch no doubt correctly calculated that the new federal tax law would save him both time and money. But what he failed to consider is whether it is actually worth adding an additional $1.5 trillion dollars to the national debt (which his children will repay) in order to give him a $1,500 “bonus.”
