A former high school security guard has pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child and sexual assault.

Broderick Lundie, 30, who worked at Grandview High School and had a sexual relationship with a student, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Arapahoe County, according to the district attorney’s office.

Lundie is guilty of one count of sexual exploitation of a child, a felony; and one count of misdemeanor sex assault, the DA’s office said in a news release.

In April of 2017, Aurora police received information on an “inappropriate relationship” between Lundie and a Grandview student and a criminal investigation began. Lundie was arrested in May of 2017.

“Know that this office investigates any complaint about inappropriate conduct involving school personnel and will prosecute offenders,” District Attorney George Brauchler said in the release. “There is no room for this lascivious behavior in our community, let alone in our public schools.”

Lundie is scheduled to be sentenced on March 21.
