Former Colorado Buffaloes women’s head basketball coach Ceal Barry has been selected to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame’s class of 2018.

After guiding Cincinnati to an 83-42 record from 1979-83, Barry became the head coach of the Buffs. In 22 years in Boulder, Barry led CU to a 427-242 record. During her career, her teams went to 12 NCAA Tournaments — including six Sweet 16s and three Elite Eight appearances.

In 1994, she was the U.S. Basketball Writers Association’s national coach of the year.

Rose Marie Battaglia, Chris Dailey, Mickie DeMoss, Chamique Holdsclaw, Katie Smith, Tina Thompson and the Women’s Professional Basketball League were also honored.
