
West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a fire that broke out in a Lakewood home and injured two men Tuesday morning.
The structure fire started in the 1700 block of Harlan Street just before 8 a.m., said Ronda Scholting, West Metro Fire spokeswoman.
One man was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries and another man is hospitalized with minor injuries, Scholting said.
Both men were inside the home at the time of the fire, the fire department said. One man got out of the home and called 911. The other man was trapped inside the burning building and was rescued by the fire department.
As of 10 a.m., hot spots remained inside the home’s garage. The structure is too unstable to allow investigators in, West Metro said.
UPDATE Harlan fire- There were 2 men inside at the time of the fire, one got out, called 911. The other was trapped, our crews pulled him out. Both were taken to the hospital, one with critical injuries, the other with minor injuries.
