Dec. 27 in Minneapolis: Timberwolves 128, Nuggets 125 (OT)
The Nuggets clawed back from 19 points down to force OT before Butler took over. Butler had 39 points and scored all 14 of Minnesota’s points in overtime.
April 5 in Denver: Nuggets 100, Timberwolves 96
Denver gutted out a crucial victory thanks to a late surge. After a 3-pointer by Nemanja Bjelica gave Minnesota a 93-90 lead with 2:48 to play, Denver responded with an 8-0 run. Murray came up with a massive play when he drew Towns’ sixth foul with 1:46 remaining and sank the go-ahead free throws.
