It’s championship season, and The Denver Post has you covered as the top spring sport athletes and teams in Colorado try to leave their mark on state history over the next two weekends. Here’s a quick look at the schedule of events.

Track and field. The state meet begins this morning and runs through Saturday. All classes from across the state will converge on Jeffco Stadium for arguably the biggest prep sports event of the year (though wrestling fans would beg to differ). For live updates, you can follow along here.

Girls soccer. The state semifinals are Saturday. In Class 5A at Echo Park in Parker, Mountain Vista will meet Grandview on one side of the bracket, while the other will feature Broomfield and Rock Canyon. The 4A games between Glenwood Springs and Valor Christian, and Silver Creek against Windsor will be played at Legacy Stadium in Aurora. The state championships are May 23 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

.The 1A championship between Nucla and Caliche is today at 11 a.m. at All-Star Park in Lakewood. The remaining state tournaments begin Friday and feature the following teams: 5A, Mountain Vista, Arapahoe, Rocky Mountain, Cherokee Trail, Heritage, Mountain Range, Pine Creek, Rock Canyon. … 4A, Windsor, Roosevelt, Cheyenne Mountain, Evergreen, valor Christian, Holy Family, Longmont, Pueblo West. … 3A, Lamar, Lutheran, Kent Denver, Faith Christian, University, Delta, Eaton, Peak to Peak. … 2A, Peyton, Haxtun, Evangelical Christian, Sargent, Hotchkiss, Dawson, Rocky Ford, Lyons, Paonia, Front Range Christian, Limon, Calhan, Sedgwick County, Swink, Dayspring Christian, Yuma.

Boys lacrosse. The 5A championship Friday will feature Regis Jesuit vs. Kent Denver, while Dawson will meet Cheyenne Mountain in the 4A game. Both are at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Girls lacrosse. There’s only one classification for girls lacrosse and we’re down to Saturday’s final four. Top-seeded Cherry Creek will play Chaparral, and the victor will meet the winner of Denver East and Colorado Academy on May 23. All remaining games will be played at DU.

Boys swimming and diving. The state meets for 5A (VMAC, Thornton) and 4A (Air Force Academy) will run Friday through Saturday.

Girls golf. State tournaments run May 21-22. The 5A competition is at Boulder Country Club, 4A is at Country Club of Colorado (Colorado Springs) and 3A will be held at Elmwood Golf Course (Pueblo).
