After several storm-filled Denver weekends that started out sunny but, eventually, forced outdoor enthusiasts to seek shelter from thunderstorms, recreation-goers in the metro area should be pleased to know meteorologists don’t foresee a storm cloud in the sky all weekend.

The National Weather Service in Boulder predicted Saturday will be hot and sunny with a high of 92 degrees, while Sunday will be clear and sunny with a high of 89 degrees.

Experts forecast a different story in Park and Summit counties on Saturday, where meteorologists expect isolated thunderstorms to roll through the region throughout the day.

The weather service noted a slight chance of storms in the mountains on Sunday, but the plains looked dry as a bone.

The slight chance of thunderstorms Denver residents have become accustomed to returns on Tuesday.
