Looking for a way to rock your upcoming Thirstday?

Not willing to wait until Friday to tie one off?

Quit.

This Thursday, roll on over to Great Divide Brewing Company as it releases a limited edition Quitter’s Kolsch at the downtown Denver taproom.

The Yawpers, a three-piece Americana rock band from Colorado, is collaborating with Denver’s Great Divide Brewing Company to release Quitter’s Kolsch.

And here’s the reason for the name: Yawpers’ drummer Noah Shomberg is quitting the band, so will be tapping this special brew and pouring the first few pints, starting at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Despite the band’s upcoming separation, Quitter’s Kolsch will not leave a bitter a taste in your mouth.  Rather, drinkers should expect a light and crisp brew with a smooth mouthfeel, we’re told.

And you can plan your Friday outing while there: Tickets to the Yawpers’ Friday night show at the Gothic Theatre will be available on a BOGO basis, for $20 (cash only).

Before there is music, there shall be beer. Quitter’s Kolsch will only be available at the downtown taproom and the Yawpers’ Friday night show, so drinkers and rockers best enjoy when and where they can.
