A Brighton man has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child.

Victor MerrittVictor Lee Merritt, 21, was arrested at about 5 p.m Monday and has been charged with sexual assault of a child, police said.
Commerce City and Brighton police investigated the case, according to a news release. Merritt was booked into the Adams County Jail.
An investigation is ongoing.
