Erasmo Rubio, Jr.A Fort Morgan man is in custody on first-degree murder charges after allegedly killing his grandfather in a home they shared in the Landmark Trailer Park Wednesday night.
Police discovered the body of Jaime Guiterrez, 78, after responding to a 911 call in the 100 block of Alpine Avenue in Fort Morgan.
Erasmo Rubio Jr., 37, is being held at the Morgan County Jail.
The Morgan County Communications Center received the 911 call at 9:02 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, from an adult female who reported that her father had been killed at his residence.
At 10:14 p.m. Rubio turned himself in at the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and was arrested and jailed on first-degree murder charges. Rubio lived in the Guiterrez home.
