O'Brien's Tansorial Parlor will close at the end of October after 65 years of business.DENVER – After 65 years, a barber shop on 8th Avenue will close up shop for good at the end of the month.
O’Brien’s Tonsorial Parlor, on 8th Ave. near Colorado Blvd., will officially close on Oct. 31.
“Itap been my life,” said Dick Alderson, the owner of the shop.
Alderson received news last year that his landlord would not renew the lease. Alderson told Denver7 later on he had the option to renew the lease, but decided not to and move on.
“I’m going to miss this place,” Alderson said. “Lots of memories, lots of great people,” he said.
