FORT COLLINS — Second chances can be a wondrous thing.

Just ask Wyatt Bryan. After he missed an 18-yard field goal with just more than two minutes remaining at Canvas Stadium on Saturday afternoon, he was afforded a chance to atone for the miss.

The Rams defense, which played well against New Mexico, produced a three-and-out. The offense drove 65 yards in 10 plays, and as time expired, Bryan was true from 26 yards out for a 20-18 victory.

For the second week in a row, Colorado State couldn’t keep hold of a halftime lead, but found just enough in the fourth quarter to rebound.

The Rams had their chances to put the game away, to be sure. Three second-half drives had them inside the New Mexico 5, but the first two times they could not push past a comedy of mistakes into the end zone.
