Three defendants have been sentenced to jail in the brutal attack and stabbing of a 43-year-old man in Lakewood.

Amber Nicole Price, 35, appeared in Jefferson County District Court on Tuesday and was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the January 2018 stabbing of Timothy Seaver, according to the district attorney’s office.

On July 11, Daniel Scott Watts, 33, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted murder. On Oct. 15, Erik Dwayne Dowling, 27, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for aggravated intimidation of a witness.

Price pleaded guilty July 9 to conspiracy to commit murder and to a violent crime count, according to a news release.

On Jan. 11, 2018, Price and Watts were staying at the Denver West Motel when Seaver texted Price in the middle of the night, asking for a ride from the Denver County jail. Price had earlier received a phone call from her boyfriend, Erik Dowling, who was in custody at the Jefferson County jail, about Seaver being a “snitch” on Price’s sister, prosecutors said.

Price asked Watts to go with her to pick up Seaver and confront him about snitching. They picked Seaver up and took him to 5555 W. 16th Ave., Lakewood. Watts got out of the car and attacked Seaver, stabbing him 11 times.

This is Dowling’s third felony conviction, the release said. Watts, who was parole at the time of the incident, has three prior felony convictions.
