The body of a 56-year-old woman was found by police Wednesday night in Elizabeth, and a 19-year-old has been arrested as a suspect in her death.
Officers were sent to a home about 8:45 p.m. on reports of an attack and found the victim dead, police said.
Christopher Sander Leary, 19, who was at the scene, has been arrested. Leary appeared in Elbert District Court on Thursday. He is being held without bail on suspicion of first-degree murder.
His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday. Police did not release the name of the victim.
