An Alabama judge was among three pedestrians hit by a car Thanksgiving night at a Park Hill intersection, according to a family member.

One of the women hit died at a hospital overnight, while the other two victims, a man and a woman, were seriously injured. Denver police are searching for the suspect’s car, which left the scene.

The victims were Judge Alan King, daughter Kendall and his wife. The judge’s wife, Karen, died after the incident, a family member said.

A spokesperson for Denver police said the department does not release identifications for victims.

King was re-elected as a probate judge in Jefferson County, Ala., in 2012. Karen was a library specialist at an elementary school,

The hit-and-run happened about 8:15 p.m. at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Quebec Street in Park Hill, a northeast Denver neighborhood. Police are searching for a blue or black sedan — possibly a Cadillac — with damage to the front end and windshield in connection to the crash.

Anybody with information is asked to call Denver police at 720-813-3000.
