A driver who was pinned beneath her pickup after a two-vehicle collision Monday afternoon on Centerra Parkway in Loveland was taken to the hospital with what authorities suspect are not serious injuries.

“It’s literally a Christmas miracle,” Loveland Police Sgt. Rob Pride said.

That woman’s Ram 3500, southbound on Centerra at its intersection with Kendall Parkway about 2:30 p.m., collided with a Chevrolet Equinox, the driver of which turned left onto Kendall in front of the oncoming pickup, Pride said at the scene.

The pickup then rolled over the median and ended up on its driver’s side, facing north in the northbound lanes. When rescue crews arrived, only the lower half of the woman’s body was sticking out from under the pickup. However, the woman was conscious and talking, Pride said.

After conducting what Pride called a “pseudo-extrication,” rescuers transported the woman to a local hospital.
