Aurora police investigate fatal two-car crash

One person died and two others were taken to the hospital

A person has died and two others were injured following a two-car collision in Aurora on Sunday.

Police responded to a crash at the intersection of S. Chambers Road and E. Belleview Avenue. at around 6:12 p.m. An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, but Aurora police said it appears speed nor intoxication was a factor in the crash.

Authorities said that a Toyota van, which was occupied by two people, was traveling south on Chambers and that a Lincoln SUV, which had a driver, was turning left from northbound Chambers onto westbound Belleview.

All three people, who have not been identified, were transported to the hospital. The passenger of the Toyota van died from injuries from the crash, according to the news release.
