Here’s where to get a free, sober ride home in Denver and Colorado on New Year’s Eve

One law firm will reimburse up to $35 for rides in Denver and Colorado Springs

Driving in the snow is dangerous even for sober drivers, so those who drink to celebrate the new year should plan a safe ride home.

For those in Denver and Colorado, a number of organizations are providing free or discounted rides for New Year’s Eve.

In Denver, from 7 p.m. Monday until 3 a.m. Jan. 2.

The Sawaya Law Firm is  in cabs, Ubers and Lyfts in Denver and Colorado Springs. To redeem, simply send a receipt and a copy of a valid ID to the firm.

For those skiing over the holidays, the  buses will run until 1:30 a.m. In Aspen, will cover your safe ride home. Ask any bartender or police officer in town for a voucher.

AAA Colorado has a , including for those celebrating in Pueblo, Gunnison, Greeley and Fort Collins.

Driving under the influence is punishable with a wide range of sentences, from a few days in jail to hundreds of dollars in fines.

At least 198 people this year have been killed in crashes where at least one driver was suspected of impairment, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
