All lanes of Colorado Boulevard were reopened early Thursday morning following a water main break that flooded the street and turned to ice.

Colorado Department of Transportation employees worked through the night to repair an 8-inch water main that burst around 5 a.m. Thursday morning and kept the street closed through the night.

The water main serviced six businesses but the road closure caused the most disruption as thousands of drivers had to find alternative routes.
