Jared Polis, Colorado’s 43rd governor and the first openly elected gay man to lead a state, took the oath of office on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019. His inauguration’s theme is “Colorado for all,” a nod to his historic victory and his pledge to govern in a bipartisan fashion.
