Another Denver sports radio host is putting a tattoo on the line on the Broncos.
Former Broncos offensive lineman Orlando Franklin, now a host on 104.3 The Fan, said Tuesday he is betting that in the 2019 NFL draft.
“There’s no chance that they do that,” Franklin said. “If you would’ve identified Drew Lock or Dan Jones as the guy that you were going to draft … if you believed in any of these quarterbacks, Case Keenum would’ve gotten restructured. Or he would have gotten released.”
Franklin said he would get a tattoo with the quarterback’s jersey number in their college’s school colors.
It’s not the first time one of The Fan’s hosts has put his body on the line. Mike Evans — who coincidentally was on air with Franklin — in 2012 made a bet with a caller that the Tim Tebow-led Broncos would not get to eight wins that year.
Denver finished the season 8-8 and earned a trip to the playoffs. Evans would get Tebow’s on his right shoulder.
If it’s any help to Franklin, The Denver Post has the Broncos going with Washington cornerback Byron Murphy in its first mock draft.
