
It’s going to be a warm weekend in Denver, but don’t leave your umbrella at home.
The National Weather Service is forecasting high temperatures in the 80s and 90s Friday and Saturday, with a possible high of 96 degrees on Friday.
Rain is predicted for over the weekend. The NWS forecasts a 20 percent change of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon, and a 30 percent chance at night. On Sunday, it will be mostly sunny in the morning, with a 60 percent chance of rain predicted for after noon.
A is in place for parts of northeast and north central Colorado due to high temperatures in the mid and upper 90s across plains. The NWS is encouraging people to wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

Being outdoors is the most dangerous place to be during a thunderstorm, especially at high altitudes. To protect people from lightning, the NWS is promoting the slogan, “when thunder roars, go indoors.”
