Residents up and down the Front Range on Saturday should prepare for another scorcher, before the weather cools later in the day.
Temperatures are expected to hit 94 degrees in Denver, while some areas of the eastern plains could hit 100, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Scattered storms in the afternoon and evening should bring temperatures down, forecasters said. The rain is expected to be light around Denver.
The cooler weather is expected to continue into Sunday and Monday, with higher chances for storms, the weather service said.
Another hot day is on tap, but scattered storms with gusty winds this afternoon and eve will offer some cooling. If you have outdoor activities planned, watch out for lightning from storms producing only light rainfall!
