Lakewood police said a woman shot and killed her husband early Friday morning after police received a 911 call about a domestic disturbance at a condominium complex.
The name and age of the man who was killed will not be released pending notification of family members.
An emergency call to police came in at 3 a.m. about a domestic disturbance at 2575 S. Sheridan Blvd., said Paul Osckel, spokesman for the Lakewood Police Department.
While police were responding to the call they learned the confrontation escalated into a shooting, Osckel said.
Upon arrival at the condominium, Osckel said, officers learned that a woman shot and killed her husband.
“Detectives are interviewing the wife about the shooting,” Osckel said. “It’s still very early in the investigation.”
