Pueblo East couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Pueblo West squad, losing by a score of 35-10 on Friday, Sept. 20.

In addition to Chandler Mason’s effort, Jeremiah Sanchez lead the Pueblo West ground game by running for 117 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 13 yards per carry. Matt Rudd contributed 104 yards and one touchdown, averaging 6.5 yards per carry.

Jack Helzer powered Pueblo East’s passing attack with 171 yards through the air, throwing one touchdown and one interception. Kaeden Bowman lead all Pueblo East receivers with five catches for 85 yards and one score.

Noah Rivera lead the Pueblo East rushing attack by racking up 101 yards in the game, averaging 5 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Pueblo West hosting Pine Creek and Pueblo East taking on Discovery Canyon.
