Matt Calvert, Vladislav Kamenev, Logan O’Connor and Jayson Megna scored goals to lead the Avalanche to a 4-1 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night in Colorado’s next-to-last preseason game.
Those four players helped build a 4-0 lead. The Golden Knights averted the shutout when Patrick Brown scored with 18 seconds left in the game.
Colorado improved to 2-3 in preseason play, which concludes Saturday with a 4 p.m. game at Dallas against the Stars. The Avs begin the regular season Oct. 3 against the Calgary Flames at the Pepsi Center.
