Dayspring Christian Academy easily defeated Byers by a score of 54-15 on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Dayspring Christian Academy quarterback Christian Still led the passing attack with 181 yards through the air, throwing two touchdowns with no interceptions. Still also added 74 yards on the ground. Ethan Pratt lead all Dayspring Christian Academy receivers with four receptions for 56 yards and two scores. Dayspring Christian Academy also got 53 yards receiving from Jacob Martin in the contest.

Garrett Krehbiel spearheaded the Dayspring Christian Academy rushing attack by finishing with 106 yards and two touchdowns in the game, averaging 13.2 yards per carry. Krehbiel also tacked on 56 receiving yards and one touchdown. Caden Bonnell contributed 71 yards and one touchdown, averaging 11.8 yards per carry.

Byers’ rushing game was paced by Dean Kerns who racked up 33 yards in the contest.

Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Dayspring Christian Academy heading to play Sedgwick County and Byers taking on Akron.
