Pagosa Springs easily handled Montezuma-Cortez by a score of 54-13 on Friday, Oct. 4.

Grant Aucoin led Pagosa Springs’ passing attack with 104 yards through the air. Aucoin also added 168 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Pagosa Springs’ leading receiver was Mitch Lewis, who caught two passes for 68 yards and two scores.

Pagosa Springs’ ground attack was spearheaded by Paden Bailey who tallied 168 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 12.9 yards per carry.

Ty Blackmer led Montezuma-Cortez’s passing attack with 107 yards through the air. Korie Likes lead all Montezuma-Cortez receivers with two catches for 90 yards and one score. Chris Matimba got in on the action in the passing game as well, catching three passes for 55 yards.

Jacob Schuster lead all Montezuma-Cortez rushers with 22 yards in the game.

Montezuma-Cortez will stay home and play Alamosa, while Pagosa Springs will travel to play Salida.
