SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Avalanche, which had its nine-game points streak snapped Friday in a 6-3 loss at Vancouver, will stick with the same lineup in Sunday’s game at SAP Center against the Sharks.

Thus, defenseman will again be a healthy scratch — marking the third time this season for the former first-round draft pick (by Buffalo) was bumped out of the lineup. He will again be replaced by Kevin Connauton, who has played 38 games with the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League this season.

Zadorov, 24, was benched in Wednesday’s 4-3 overtime loss to Anaheim after the Ducks scored on three of his first nine shifts.

Colorado (40-19-8, 88 points) has another chance Sunday to tie St. Louis (40-18-10, 90 points) atop the Central Division and Western Conference standings. The Blues, who have played one more game than the Avs, play earlier Sunday at Chicago.
