Denver Mayor Michael Hancock issued an order Monday afternoon requiring residents to stay at home in response to the spread of the coronavirus.

Gov. Jared Polis on Sunday urged Coloradans to do more to slow the person-to-person spread of the new coronavirus. He ordered employers at non-critical workplaces to cut their in-person workforces by at least 50%, implored residents to go out for groceries and exercise less frequently, and advised the elderly and other vulnerable people to stay put indoors unless they need medical help.

Colorado on Sunday saw its coronavirus cases make the largest single-day jump for the fourth straight day, with 116 new confirmed cases reported, bringing the total to 591. There were three more deaths, making the overall total at seven.
