We will have a story for every game that had been scheduled until real-life baseball returns. Here’s a look at the virtual Rockies’ preseason preview. Entering Tuesday’s game, the Rockies were 11-4.

SAN DIEGO — German Marquez struck out 10 and David Dahl crushed a grand slam as the Rockies clobbered the Padres, 8-0, on Tuesday at Petco Park.
Marquez (2-1) allowed just four hits and four walks in seven innings of work. Bryan Shaw closed out the game with two shutout innings for Colorado.
The Rockies got on the board in the second inning after shortstop Trevor Story led off with a solo home run, his fifth on the year. Daniel Murphy, Ryan McMahon and Sam Hilliard each had singles to load the bases. Dahl came on with two outs and blasted a 435-foot shot into right field to give Colorado a 5-0 lead.
Colorado added another one in the fifth inning when Murphy singled in Charlie Blackmon.
The Rockies put two more on the board in the seventh inning on Blackmon’s home run that drove in Dahl.
San Diego starter Dinelson Lamet (1-3) lasted just two innings, giving up five runs on five hits.
With the win, the Rockies (12-4) extended their lead in the National League West to 1.5 games over the Dodgers (11-6). The Padres fell to 7-10. The two teams go at it again Wednesday with Jon Gray on the mound for Colorado. Joey Lucchesi will start for San Diego.
