The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says a missing teenager with special needs has been located.

The sheriff’s office made the announcement just before 10 p.m. Sunday, but did not say where she was located.

Elizabeth “Lizzy” McPherson, 16, from the Peyton area, was spotted around 7 p.m. Thursday at the Greyhound bus station on Weber Street in Colorado Springs. Authorities don’t know if she got on the bus.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation said McPherson was last seen at 11 p.m.Thursday at a bus stop in downtown Denver with an unknown male companion.

McPherson sometimes uses the name Elizabeth or Lizzy Callis and often wanders from home, but usually only for a few hours, according to the sheriff’s office. She has been known to tell people she is homeless and will befriend individuals quickly.

McPherson left her home on foot at about 4 p.m. Thursday. She has a cognitive disability and  requires medication multiple times a day, but doesn’t have it with her, according to the CBI.

Anyone who has information as to her whereabouts or has seen her can contact the sheriff’s office Tip Line at 719-520-6666.
