Two McCaffreys and a linebacker will represent Northern Colorado football at the Big Sky Conference Football Kickoff at the end of the month.

Grad transfer quarterback Dylan McCaffrey and junior transfer linebacker RJ Potts will attend media days in Spokane, Washington.

McCaffrey joins the Bears and Big Sky after graduating from Michigan, where he played 13 games as a reserve and was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten recipient. He redshirted his first year, suffered a broken collarbone during his redshirt freshman season and missed most of his sophomore season after a concussion.

He received recognition in 2017 as the Wolverines’ outstanding offensive player. McCaffrey will have two years of eligibility.

Potts will play his first season with the Bears this fall after a stint at Cincinnati. He appeared in nine games in 2019, including seven tackles. In 2018, he played in 13 games with 11 stops.

The three representatives will participate in Big Sky Media Day, which is expected to take place on July 26. ESPN+ will stream the event.

UNC opens its inaugural season under Ed McCaffrey on Sept. 3 to face Colorado in Boulder.
