A volunteer coach at Arapahoe High School has been arrested, accused of having sexually explicit conversations on various online platforms with a female student.
Virgilio San Andres, 22, has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful electronic sexual communication by a person in a position of trust, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
An investigation began in January when the school’s resource officer received a tip about the allegation, according to a news release. San Andres was a volunteer coach of a club sport.
Investigators found evidence that San Andres engaged in electronic conversation with a student that was sexual in nature, the sheriff’s office said. On Friday, San Andres was arrested and booked into the Arapahoe County jail.
