Hundreds of flights at Denver International Airport canceled or delayed on Christmas Day

More than 1,000 flights in and out of Denver have been canceled since Thursday

travel woes continued on Christmas with more than 300 flight cancellations and nearly 600 delays by Sunday night.

More than 1,000 flights in and out of DIA were canceled Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the wake of historic subzero temperatures.

Cancellations continued Sunday. As of 9 p.m., 334 flights into and out of DIA had been canceled and 577 flights delayed, according to .

The bulk of the cancellations continue to come from Southwest Airlines, which had canceled 246 flights in an out of Denver on Sunday as of 9 p.m., followed by United Airlines with 41 cancellations, SkyWest Airlines with 19 and Delta Airlines with 13.
