A missing indigenous person alert has been issued for a woman who was last seen in Lakewood.

Alexis “Lexi” Layla Brownotter, 27, was last seen about noon Feb. 7 in the area of 985 Sheridan Blvd. in Lakewood, according to the alert issued Friday by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Brownotter is 5-foot-3 and weighs 114 pounds, the alert said. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black hoodie, a heavy black jacket, blue jeans, black boots and hoop earrings. She is a member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe.

Anyone who has seen Brownotter or who knows of her whereabouts is asked to call Lakewood police at 303-987-7111 or 911.
