A motorcyclist died in a multi-vehicle traffic crash Saturday afternoon, and a stretch of I-70 near Sheridan Boulevard was shut down in both directions for about three hours.
Traffic was detoured, and drivers faced delays in the area, police said on Twitter. Alternate routes were advised.
The highway reopened late in the afternoon, police said in a 5:54 p.m. tweet.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
