The Larimer County Coroner’s Office has of a man at the Rocky Mountain National Park earlier this month to be an accidental drowning.
On July 2, 24, of Las Vegas, died after falling and being pulled underwater at the West Creek Falls Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Due to the location of the incident, recovery efforts were not able to be made until the next day, at which point Monteiro’s body was recovered and flown to Upper Beaver Meadows where he was taken into the care of the Larimer County Coroner’s Office.
An autopsy was performed on July 4 at the Larimer County Forensic Sciences Center by Dr. J. White.
