
A motorcyclist died in a fatal crash that occurred early Thursday morning in the Berkeley neighborhood in Denver.
Officers are investigating what led to the crash involving a motorcyclist and a pickup truck that occurred at about 1:15 a.m. at Federal Boulevard and 44th Avenue, spokesperson Doug Schepman said.
The motorcyclist was driving westbound on 44th Avenue and the truck driver was going northbound on Federal Boulevard when the two collided at the intersection.
The crash was not a hit-and-run, according to police. Schepman said there is no indication of any drug or alcohol impairment at this point in the investigation.
The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital and then died there, Schepman said. The medical examiner will later release the identity of the person who died.
