A in the 5500 block of South Perry Park Road in Douglas County burned 153 acres but did not cause any injuries or damage any property, according to the sheriff’s office.

The fire was reported west of the 5500 block of South Perry Park Road at 12:19 p.m., according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The area is approximately 12 miles south of Sedalia.

Fire crews from six agencies achieved 80% containment on the fire by Friday afternoon, No injuries or damage to property have been reported.

The sheriff’s office for the Perry Park Road area south of Tomah Road and lifted it approximately an hour later.

Fire crews have not determined what caused the fire, according to the sheriff’s office.

Colorado’s Front Range and eastern plains are forecast to see worsening fire weather conditions through the weekend and into the next week,
