Armed robbers impersonate delivery drivers during Aurora home invasion

Armed suspects posed as delivery drivers to break in and rob a family home in Aurora on Wednesday, police said Friday.

The suspects were dressed in construction vests and claimed they were there to deliver a package, . They waited for the homeowners to open the door before forcing their way in and robbing the family.

Police say the incident happened about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 4100 block of South Richfield Street in Aurora.

No serious injuries were reported, and police believe this was a targeted incident, according to the department’s statement.

If residents think their mail seems suspicious, they should contact the carrier and report any crime to local police, the police department said.
