Drivers on sections of Interstate 25 and Interstate 70 will see as transportation officials roll out “dynamic tolling” based on traffic conditions.
The new pricing structure applies to the 18-mile stretch of I-25 express lanes between Monument and Castle Rock and the 12-mile stretch of westbound I-70 express lanes between the Veterans Memorial Tunnel in Idaho Springs and Empire.
Drivers can expect to see similar toll prices as before, Colorado Department of Transportation officials said in a news release, ranging from $1.50 to $4.75 for I-25 and up to $9 for I-70.
Toll rates may change every few minutes, and CDOT officials say the new structure will help maintain minimum speeds and keep traffic flowing.
