More than 400 flights headed in and out of Denver International Airport were delayed on Sunday, partially fueled by an evening ground stop issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
By the end of Sunday, 441 flights had been delayed and four had been canceled, according to flight tracking software .
The FAA issued a ground stop for unspecified runway construction at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, . The traffic management program was lifted later that evening.
Southwest delayed 161 flights, followed by 141 United flights, 82 SkyWest flights, 14 Frontier flights and 12 Delta flights, according to FlightAware. Another eight airlines delayed between one and nine flights.
All four flights canceled on Sunday were United flights, according to FlightAware.
