Certain Greeley Stampede food vendors will offer a “Fourth of July Family Pack” this year to provide an affordable food option for families of four.
at locations throughout the Stampede.
Including parking, entry into the park can cost a family of four more than $30 before reaching any of the concerts, carnival rides, rodeo shows or the many other activities at the annual event, which runs from June 24 to July 5 this year.
Vendor coordinator Joey Bernatow estimates meals at the Stampede for a family of four could add up to about $50.
“I would estimate that the average food item at our event lands somewhere between $10-$20 depending on the size and value of the item. There are outliers, which are cheaper and more expensive, but we try to keep prices consistent throughout the park,” Bernatow said in an email.
To help lessen this burden on families, Bernatow and other Stampede officials are encouraging vendors to offer Fourth of July Family Packs.
“The Fourth of July Pack is a promotional event, where we challenge food vendors to create a food package deal that will feed a family of four on a budget,” Bernatow said in an email. “We do not require all of our vendors to participate in this promotion, but we try to encourage as many as we can because it will drive guest attendance and help families afford food for everyone.”
This pack will only be offered on the Fourth of July, and pricing will be determined by the vendors, so prices may vary. Bernatow said two vendors signed up for the promotion early. Based on their proposed family packs, he estimates the promotion will save visitors up to $20 on food.
“We have already had two vendors submit their details for their deal, Corndoggies, and The Chocolate Chip Cookie Company,” Bernatow said in an email. “The vendors take items that they would normally sell separately, and combine several of them with a discount, such as four corn dogs and a bucket of fries, for $15 cheaper than if you bought the items separately.”
A list of participating vendors and their family packs will be posted to the Greeley Stampede website as the event approaches.
Other deals will be posted on the Stampede website as the event draws closer. The Papa John’s Family Pack, for example, bundles four PRCA ProRodeo tickets of your choice (excluding the finals) in North or South grandstands, a one-day parking pass and a voucher for one large one-topping pizza from Papa John’s at the event as well as a coupon for 25% off Greeley Stampede merchandise.
