Angels Befriending Children had no trouble putting people in touch with their inner child when members honored longtime Hospice of Metro Denver volunteer Mickey Ackerman at It’s Playtime, a night of fun and games at the Denver Design Center.

Ackerman, an interior designer, is perhaps best known for starting HMD’s legendary fundraiser, the Mask Project. His philanthropic efforts have been recognized by several organizations, including Jewish Family Service and the HMD board.

Thompson is president of the Angels board and served as an It’s Playtime team captain with David Alexander, Greg Bird, Zelda Friednash, Linda Goto and Hyla Sloane. The evening’s bankers were Ned Flanigan, Allan Frank, John Horan and Stanley Sena.
