GARFIELD COUNTY — Crews were fighting a 30-acre wildfire after high winds took over a permitted, controlled burn Sunday in Garfield County.
The blaze was first reported at 1:44 p.m. north of Interstate 70, west of the town of Silt on an island in the Colorado River.
No buildings were threatened, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
