Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and former Mayor Wellington Webb will speak at Saturday’s funeral service for Charles Cousins.
Cousins, who died May 4, was a well-known Realtor and leader in the African-American community.
A reception and visitation will be Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church, 933 E. 24th Ave. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion.
Other speakers will be Martha Williamson, who produced the television show “Touched by an Angel;” former Tuskegee airman John Mosley, a lifelong friend of Cousins’; and Jeff Fard, who owns Brother Jeff’s Cultural Center and Cafe in northeast Denver. The eulogy will be given by the Rev. Frank Davis.
